american eskimo dog behavioral issues?
this elderly lady that i know has 3 little yorkie mixes who are all about 16 years old and she just got and american eskimo dog she very little and only 2 years old but very hyper so the lady cant keep her because she broke her hip.She has a issue with people or something because she wont go near anyone and we think she was hurt some how at her last home to make her scared . I really want her and my mom says i can have her if i get her used to people . yes i know i can do that over time but the thing is i dont have that much time . can any one give me some hints and tips to try and get her to get used to people?
obedience classes or a behaviorist.
Also, slowly introduce the dog to more and more people. Start with yourself and try to build a bond where the dog can trust you.
